SUSQUEHANNA TOWNSHIP PARKS AND RECREATION MISSION STATEMENT

The Susquehanna Township Parks and Recreation Department will strive to enhance the quality of life and promote the health, safety, and welfare of all Susquehanna Township residents by providing clean, safe parks, well-developed and well-maintained recreational facilities and a wide range of programs and activities targeting the recreational needs of the growing Susquehanna Township community.

The most recent recreation land dedicated to the Township is 2.73 acres located in the Apple Creek Development along Paxton Church Road. Currently it is open green space with future plans to establish playground facilities and other recreational amenities. Future recreation land to be dedicated to the Township will include 6+ acres in the Margaret’s Grove Development, 20 acres in the Waverly Woods Development and 4+ acres from the High Pointe II Development along Crooked Hill Road and Shutt Mill Road. This acreage will be added onto the existing Shutt Mill Park
