On May 1, 2008; A Drive through the township with George Drees, Fire
Marshall to check on certain properties throughout the township
before I left for my conference to keep an eye on.
On May 2, 2008; A Meeting with Ronald Leo about the neighbor at 3505
Ridgeway Road and the trimming of the tree. We went over and over
the property and discussed the situation at length to come to some
resolution to the problem. Mr. Leo resides at 3303 Ridgeway Road.
On May 5, 2008 through May 9, 2008; I attended the 92nd Annual CASA
Conference in Saratoga Springs, NY.
On May 11, 2008; A Dog Bite occurred at a residence on Ionoff Road
on Mother’s Day while a resident was cleaning off her back patio for
a barbecue and the dog came from across the street and lunged right
for her. She sustained injuries to the right knee with three
puncture wounds. The dog is a German Shorthair Pointer Mix and the
dog is current on her shots. A home quarantine was allowed and
ceased on May 22, 2008. No health certificate was received on this
dog bite and a citation has been issued.
On May 12, 2008; A meeting with Gary Myers, David Dyer and myself
about the ongoing situation at 3503 and 2505 Ridgeway Road with the
tree and how proceed with this situation.
On May 12, 2008; A Dog Bite occurred at Whisperwood Apartments. The
maintenance man went into an apartment with a Chihuahua named Sammy.
She was totally in the right and defending her territory. She is
current on her shots and a home quarantine was allowed until May 22,
2008. A health certificate was provided and the case is now closed.
On May 14, 2008; A Housing Code Re-Inspection occurred at 2305 Canby
Street as required by DJ Shugars. No new violations were noted and
the housing code inspections will continue through July.
On May 14, 2008; A Re-Inspection of the yard at 3503 Green Street.
Some of the violations were removed but several remain. George
Frees, Fire Marshal in my absence gave an extension for 30 days. A
written letter will go out to make sure a time limit is placed on
this case. A re-inspection again will occur in late June.
On May 14, 2008; A Meeting with Gary Myers, David Dyer and myself
again about Ronald
Leo and the ongoing situation between him and his neighbor. A
mediator is being suggested to be brought in to help solve the
situation from the police.
On May 14, 2008; A Yard Inspection occurred at 252 Saddle Ridge
Drive about the ongoing neighbor’s problem with the next door
neighbor at 254 Saddle Ridge Drive over the befouling of property. A
violation letter was sent out for the violation.
On May 15, 2008; A Hearing for Josephine Knoll over the storage of
Motor Vehicle was held at the Health Board Meeting for May. It was
decided to recheck the vehicle on the property which was done by
George Drees, Fire Marshal and then wait to see if the vehicle is
removed before the hearing for the citation occurs.
On May 15, 2008; A Meeting with Bob and Laura Daniels about an Ice
Cream Shoppe at Brandywine Shopping Center.
On May 15, 2008; A Re-Inspection at the Gulf Snack Bar to see the
spec sheets, and the soap and paper towel dispensers were added.
Another inspection was also done on May 16, 2008.
On May 16, 2008; A Meeting with Carmen Barreto over the dog bite
that occurred on May 12, 2008 at Whisperwood Apartments.
On May 16, 2008; A Yard Re-Inspection occurred at 3621 North 6th
Street and another re-inspection of the property will occur in late
June.
On May 16, 2008; A Meeting with Ronald and Lois Leo about the tree
and the problem was solved. Case closed.
On May 16, 2008; A Housing and Yard Inspection was done at 3528 Ash
Street. The only violation that was found was to cut the grass out
front. A recheck and the grass was cut and the case is closed.
On May 19, 2008; A Re-Inspection of the property located at 1300
North 26th Street. Some new violations were noted and others still
remained from the initial inspections. A re-inspection will again
occur in late June. Citations were issued for the violations that
were still present.
On May 21, 2008; An Inspection at the Snack Bar at the Edgemont Park
for the upcoming season. A temporary permit was issued and
everything was in working order.
On May 23, 2008; A Meeting with All State Construction about 153
Lucknow Road and the status of the property.
On May 27, 2008; A Meeting with Brian Bowman, myself, David Dyer and
Gary about the illegal dumping at the Harrisburg State Hospital.
On May 27, 2008; A Re-Inspection of the illegal dumping site at the
Harrisburg State Hospital to check on the status. New photos were
taken and also a drive over to Carter Drive and 2400 Clayton Avenue.
On May 28, 2008; A Yard Inspection at 3207 Penbrook Avenue to
discuss the neighbor placing spouting, brush, yard debris on and
next to the neighbor’s fence. A violation letter was sent out.
On May 29, 2008; A Meeting with Jean and Craig Raisner for a
possible tea room being located at 4331 North Front Street.
On May 29, 2008; A meeting with the people from Apex from Honeywell
about securing a transient license. 15 permits were issued for June
2, 2008 through June 9, 2008.
On May 29, 2008; A Yard Inspection occurred at the properties at
3513 and 3511 Union Deposit Road about the conditions in the yard
the house itself. A violation letter was sent out for the violations
and a re-inspection will occur.
On May 29, 2008; A Re-Inspection occurred at 3803 Locust Lane for
water damage and salvage goods accumulation. There was a lot of
progress made and another inspection will occur in Mid July. Albert
Wrightstone, Jr. assisted with the re-inspection.
On May 29, 2008; An Inspection at Morgan’s Place about the railings
out on the deck. The materials were ordered and the deck will be
repaired. The deck was repaired upon re-inspection of the facility.
On May 29, 2008; A Housing Code and yard inspection occurred at 1905
Linglestown Road. Numerous violations were noted. A re-inspection
will occur at the end of June.
On May 29, 2008; A Yard Inspection occurred at The Houses of Oakwood
about the High Grass and Weeds and when the project will be
completed. I will be checking into the matter and sending violation
letters to appropriate parties.
